Kindness is still seen as weakness by too many.
In many minds strength is still linked to alpha-like behavior. The tough guys, the bad boys and the mean ladies get the most attention, and are unfortunately admired by a lot of youngsters. Kindness on the other hand is often mistaken for weakness.
Kind leaders tend to gain loyalty, something those who lack kindness will hardly experience. The loyalty they receive is only valid until the next one comes around who is even tougher. Kind leaders tend to gain trust, and create an atmosphere in which everyone is able to grow and develop. The alpha focused tough ones will not only never experience this – they will also feel very insecure in such setting.
Kindness is seen as weakness by too many, where in reality kindness is one of the strongest skills in a good leader. Lead in kindness!
