There are more than enough slogans. We are surrounded by wonderful expressions like “Build back better” and “Sustainable Development”, but the moment we take a closer look, we turn away disappointed by the underlaying “business as usual attitude”.
Our society is predominantly driven by Shareholder Value priorities and hardly reflects on the true consequences and impact on Stakeholder Value. The pandemic that has costed so many lives, and deprived so many more of being able to even enjoy basic human rights like education and healthy food, while the upper level has gained more wealth in a single year than collectively in the entire decade before that.
Build back better and sustainable development are nothing but empty words unless they are backed up by actions. Real actions!
