Rather do one thing great than a lot of things halfhearted.
Passion and purpose are important and it is relatively difficult if not impossible to be passionate and purposefully about a lot of things at the same time, right? It appears to be significantly more effective to be passionate and driven by purpose for only a few things than for a bunch of them.
But even if we would be passionate and driven by purpose for just a few things, would we be able to constantly grow and develop and become great at all of them, even when there are just a few? It might be possible, of course, but in most cases it is better to focus on one topic and excel in in that. With that we are of course not denying that there are people who are perfectly good at several things, but once we take a closer look we discover most of the time that they have been able to combine these things into a matching journey of learning and growth.
No matter if we pick one or a few more topics to dedicate our passion and purpose to, we should always avoid to to a lot of things halfhearted. That is what we see happening the most when people do things because it is popular, like for example on social media. In the long run, staying true to yourself and your purpose is the winning strategy, even if it is only for your own soul and sense of happiness!
