Threats and risks continue to change, so should your actions.
There isn’t field in which threats evolve as fast as in cybersecurity. Besides a constantly growing number of new threats, there is also the challenge that existing threats keep mutating and get more advanced. In addition to modifying the ways of distribution and attacks, these threats also keep improving their detection mitigation.
From this perspective we need to adjust our stance on cybersecurity and risk mitigation to the developments in the threat landscape and the attack vectors we are exposed to. Unfortunately, we still see that the majority of cybersecurity risk mitigation plans and policies are reviewed and adapted in multi-year cycles. Actions and reactions must be designed to minimize the risks as they develop!
