What is the annual budget for accessibility?
When we start asking questions to corporations about accessibility we will in most cases be referred to the HR Department, or a generic equal opportunity statement somewhere on a website. All this relates to hiring policies, which is of course very important, but does not cover the full bandwidth of accessibility of any organization, big or small.
Accessibility includes products and services, accessibility already starts with for example the website. Accessibility also has a lot to with facilities. Does a company have enough toilets which are accessible for people with a wheelchair, for example. Accessibility requires priority in design and development of products and services, and this priority must be installed as a mandatory requirement.
Accessibility requires budgets, mandates and resources because without those nothing will happen. So, what is the annual budget for accessibility?
